Description
The IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Spitfire was introduced in 2004 as a more luxurious take on IWC's iconic pilot's chronograph. Dial and movement remain the same; the dial is however more elaborate, with applied numerals and various textures. The hands are now of the alpha / sword style. The 3706 Spitfire exists with either a black or silver dial, a choice of languages for the date disc, and either a leather strap or stainless steel bracelet. Early versions use the caliber 7922; later models employ the 79320. For the Black dial, following versions exist; Reference IW3706-11 has a black dial, German disc, and alligator strap. Reference IW3706-12 has a black dial, Italian disc, and alligator strap. Reference IW3706-13 has a black dial, English disc, and alligator strap. Reference IW3706-14 has a black dial, French disc, and alligator strap. Reference IW3706-15 has a black dial, Spanish disc, and alligator strap. Reference IW3706-16 has a black dial, German disc, and stainless steel bracelet. Reference IW3706-17 has a black dial, Italian disc, and stainless steel bracelet. Reference IW3706-18 has a black dial, English disc, and stainless steel bracelet. Reference IW3706-19 has a black dial, French disc, and stainless steel bracelet. Reference IW3706-20 has a black dial, Spanish disc, and stainless steel bracelet.
