The Robert Mühle Auf/Ab GOLD reveals a quality that is perhaps not readily known: namely the fact that the family company is the only watch manufacturer in the German town of Glashütte that is still owned by a long-established local family. That is why with an especially refined version of their special edition they would like to honour the entrepreneurial spirit of their forebears – and their upholding the family tradition of precise measurement. It was not always easy: A Great Depression, two expropriations and 45 years of Socialism repeatedly challenged the family's will to persevere. That is why the family-owned business was re-established for a third time in 1994. And thus in the year 2014 they are celebrating not only the 145th jubilee of the company's founding by Robert Mühle, but also 20 years of the company "Nautische Instrumente Mühle-Glashütte".
